Történelmi Piran
As you wander through Piran, you’ll quickly feel you’ve stepped into a place with character. Your first stop: Tartini Square – lively, spacious and often filled with music echoing among the old buildings. Right there you’ll also find the Tartini House, where you can peek into the life of the renowned violinist Giuseppe Tartini.
Just a few steps away stands the Venetian House – the recognisable red building with Gothic details, surrounded by a romantic legend of a Venetian merchant and a beautiful local girl. A must-stop for a photo.
For a quieter, more local atmosphere, head to the First of May Square. Less bustle, more authentic spirit of Piran. In its centre is an old rainwater cistern, surrounded by cozy spots for coffee or a glass of wine.
